2. Information we collect

We only collect the information we need to schedule, perform, and support your inspection.

Information you give us directly, by phone, text, email, our website forms, or in person:
- Your name
- Mobile and other phone numbers
- Email address
- The address of the property to be inspected, and details about it (age, size, foundation type, etc.)
- Your preferred inspection date and time
- Names and contact details of people involved in the transaction that you ask us to coordinate with (for example, your real estate agent)
- Payment information needed to pay for your inspection (card payments are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers)
- Anything else you choose to tell us in calls, texts, or emails

Information collected automatically when you visit our website:
- Basic technical data such as browser type, device type, IP address, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit
- Cookies and similar technologies used to keep the website working, secure, and fast, and to understand general site traffic

Information created while we serve you:
- Inspection appointment records
- Inspection reports, photos, and notes about the property
- Records of our calls, texts, and emails with you, including your text-messaging consent and opt-out history

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:
- Schedule your inspection and confirm the appointment
- Send appointment confirmations, reminders, and updates (for example, if the inspector is running late or the time needs to change)
- Perform the inspection and deliver your inspection report
- Answer your questions and provide customer care before and after the inspection
- Process payments and keep business and tax records
- Meet our obligations as a Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) licensed inspector
- Keep our website and systems secure and working properly
- Comply with the law and respond to lawful requests

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your information for third-party marketing.

4. Text messaging (SMS) privacy

This section applies to text messages sent by or to Your Choice Inspections, including our text line (817) 532-4857. The program is called Your Choice Inspections Text Messages.

What we text about. We send text messages about inspection scheduling, appointment confirmations and reminders, and customer care (answering your questions and following up on your inspection). We do not send marketing or promotional texts from third parties.

How you opt in. You agree to receive text messages from us when you:
1. Text us first at (817) 532-4857 (for example, to ask about or book an inspection); or
2. Give verbal consent on a phone call with our team when you book an inspection and agree that we may text you about your appointment.

Agreeing to receive texts is not a condition of buying any service from us.

What we collect for texting. Your mobile phone number, the content of the messages we exchange, the date and time of your consent and how you gave it (texting first or verbal consent on a call), and any opt-out or help requests.

Message frequency and cost. Message frequency varies based on your appointment and questions; most customers receive a few messages per inspection. Message and data rates may apply.

Opting out and getting help. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will get one final message confirming that you are unsubscribed, and we will not text you again unless you opt back in (for example, by replying START). How we use your mobile information. We use your mobile number and messaging data only to communicate with you about your inspection and to provide customer care, and to keep records of your consent and opt-out choices.

No sharing of mobile information. We do not share, sell, rent, or provide your mobile phone number or text-messaging consent to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

5. How we share information

We share personal information only as needed to run our business and provide your inspection. The categories of recipients are:
- Service providers who help us operate, such as our phone and text-messaging provider, scheduling and inspection-report software, email and website hosting, and payment processing. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- People you ask us to work with, such as your real estate agent or another person you authorize to receive your appointment details or inspection report.
- Government and legal, when required by law, by a court or subpoena, by the Texas Real Estate Commission, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
- A business transfer, if Your Choice Inspections is sold or merged, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

6. Cookies and website analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar tools to keep it secure, remember basic preferences, speed up page loading, and understand general traffic (such as which pages are visited). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; parts of the website may not work as well if you do.

7. How long we keep information

We keep inspection records and reports for as long as needed to serve you and to meet legal, licensing, insurance, and tax requirements. We keep text-messaging consent and opt-out records for as long as needed to honor your choices and to show that we followed messaging rules. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

8. How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, such as password-protected accounts and reputable service providers. No method of sending or storing data is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to people who need it to serve you.

9. Your choices and rights

You can:
- Stop text messages at any time by replying STOP.
- Ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to records we must keep by law or for licensing.
- Stop optional emails by using the unsubscribe link or contacting us.
- Ask questions about this policy at any time.

To make a request, contact us using the information below. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. We will not treat you differently for using your privacy rights.

10. Children's privacy

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
